An Indian, a Chinaman, a Korean, an Indonesian, a Sri Lankan, a Malaysian, and an expatriate Filipino all walk into a bar. The barman takes one look at them and says, "Is this some kind of joke?"

Welcome to A Thousand Apologies, a comedy sketch show that addresses the diversity of the Asian experience in contemporary New Zealand.

Through parody, satire and farce
A Thousand Apologies lampoons stereotypes and situations that resonate with all New Zealanders. From overachieving Chinese children to overqualified Pakistani taxi drivers, the show uses irony and subversion to deliver its laughs.

The time has come for Asians to stand up and be laughed at. Or rather, laughed with. And if we offend anyone in the process, we offer a thousand apologies.
